A playlist for the moment you describe.
Type a mood, a scene, a night you remember, or drop in a photo. musicbots composes a real, ordered playlist from the Apple Music catalog and adds it to your library.
Version 0.2.0 · macOS 14 or later · 4.9 MB · signed and notarized
Slow and hazy, coastal. Dream pop and quiet Americana at low energy, lifting a little as the fog burns off.
One prompt in, eighteen songs out, sequenced from quiet to a little less quiet.
Four steps between a sentence and a playlist.
Interpret
Your words or photo become a sonic brief: genres, era, energy shape, mood, seed artists, and how live or literal to be.
Resolve
The brief becomes real tracks by searching the Apple Music catalog around each seed, spreading across similar artists rather than piling on one.
Verify
Every candidate is confirmed against the catalog and de-duplicated. Nothing is invented and nothing repeats.
Sequence
The survivors are ordered to the brief's energy shape, with a real beginning and end, then written to your library.
Restraint over options.
Photos as prompts
Drop in a picture. The app reads the scene, the era, and the feeling, and writes the brief from that. The photo becomes the playlist cover.
Recipes, not just playlists
A saved prompt is a recipe. Reopen it, modify it in place, or let it regenerate on a cadence so the playlist stays fresh.
Seriously, not literally
Name a show, a venue, a festival, and it captures that night's era and energy without trying to rebuild the setlist.
Your taste as a prior
Optionally scan your library. It nudges results toward what you love without fencing you in, and fades out when your prompt is specific.
Plays where your music lives
Playlists are written straight into Apple Music. Press Play in the app, or find them in your library on every device.
No account, no server
Bring your own model key. Your prompt goes to the provider you chose, with your key, from your Mac. There is nothing else in the middle.
